Each franchise will provide a licence to operate within an exclusive geographical territory. However, clients will always retain the right to select their genealogist and, from the Findtree viewpoint, the client relationship is owned by the genealogist who manages the project.

The selection of a Findtree genealogist in the first instance will be the choice of the client. Clients may select genealogists from any part of the country depending on their preference. If the client does not specify a choice the project will be allocated to the franchise that is geographically closest to the client.

In the event of disputes between genealogists Findtree reserves the right to intervene in the interests of protecting the Findtree brand name and ensuring equitable treatment of franchisees.
